Privacy Policy

What we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how to delete your data.

Effective date: October 21, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Html2MP4 (“Html2MP4”, “we”, “us”), the service at html2mp4.com, collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email [email protected].

Html2MP4 is in early access. Today the site is a set of public pages and guides, and you do not need an account to read them. The account and video features described below are being built and will start operating when they launch; this policy already covers them so you know how they work before you sign in.

1. Information we collect

Account information

You will be able to sign in with Google or with your email address. When you use Sign in with Google, we request only the openid, email and profile scopes and receive your email address, name and profile picture. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, contacts or any other Google data. When you sign in with email, we receive your email address (and a name if you choose to provide one).

Content you submit

To generate a video you may provide prompts, website URLs, logos and other images, brand colors and text. If you give us a URL, we fetch the publicly accessible content of that page to use as input. We also store the HTML compositions and MP4 videos generated for you.

Technical information

Like most websites, our servers and our network provider (Cloudflare) process technical data needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser user agent, requested URLs and timestamps, in server and security logs. If you sign in, we use a cookie or similar token to keep you signed in.

What we do not use

We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts (for example, no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or Meta Pixel) on html2mp4.com. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google’s servers; see Google’s privacy policy for how Google handles those requests.

2. How we use information

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in.
  • To generate, render, store and deliver the videos you request.
  • To operate, maintain, debug and protect the service, including preventing abuse.
  • To contact you about your account, your videos or important changes to the service.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

3. How information is shared

  • AI provider (OpenAI). To turn your request into an HTML video composition, we send your prompt, the content fetched from URLs you provide, and related inputs (such as brand colors and text) to OpenAI’s API, using OpenAI Codex models. OpenAI processes this data to return the generated HTML, under OpenAI’s API terms and data-usage policies. We do not send your Google account data to OpenAI beyond what you type into a prompt.
  • Our own servers. Videos are rendered and stored on servers we operate; we do not use a third-party rendering service for your videos.
  • Cloudflare. Traffic to html2mp4.com passes through Cloudflare for content delivery and security, so Cloudflare processes request data such as IP addresses.
  • Google. If you use Sign in with Google, Google processes your sign-in under its own privacy policy.
  • Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or Html2MP4.

If Html2MP4 is ever transferred to a new operator, this information may be transferred as part of that, subject to this policy.

4. Google API Services User Data Policy

Html2MP4’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular, Google user data (your email address, name and profile picture) is used only to provide and secure your Html2MP4 account and features you request. We do not sell it, do not use or transfer it for advertising, do not use it to train or improve general AI or machine-learning models, do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the service, comply with law or as part of a merger or acquisition, and do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or for internal operations where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

5. Data retention

Our current defaults are below. We may adjust them as the service develops, and we will update this section when we do.

  • Account information: kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days after you delete your account.
  • Prompts, uploaded logos and fetched page content: kept with the related project so you can edit and re-render it, and deleted when you delete the project or your account.
  • Rendered videos: kept for up to 90 days after they are created, or until you delete them or your account, whichever comes first.
  • Server and security logs: kept for up to 30 days, unless needed longer to investigate abuse or security incidents.

Backups may keep copies for a short additional period before they are overwritten.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Delete your account and videos: email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will delete your account, projects and videos. We aim to complete requests within 30 days.
  • Access or correct: email us to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you or to correct it.
  • Revoke Google access: you can remove Html2MP4’s access at any time from your Google Account settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions).

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (for example, to object to or restrict processing, or to complain to a data-protection authority). Contact us and we will respond in line with applicable law.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including HTTPS for all traffic and restricted access to our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Html2MP4 is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International processing

We and our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where we do, we take steps to protect it as described in this policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when new features launch. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify signed-in users by email or on the site.
